ICCS

The Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) is an integral part of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. Established in 1992, ICCS has a clear mission: to conduct top-quality research and development activities, and to offer scientific services to both private and public sectors. The institute’s creation was spurred by the goal to support the research priorities of the School, particularly through obtaining research funding via competitive European Commission calls for research proposals. ICCS is structured to enhance the research capabilities of the School’s faculty and develop a research personnel base. This structure facilitates state-of-the-art research while simultaneously upgrading laboratory equipment and infrastructure. The institute also provides research stipends to postgraduate students and post-doctoral researchers, contributing to their development and engagement in cutting-edge research. Overall, ICCS/NTUA is a leading research institute in Greece and Europe, recognized for its commitment to advancing the fields of Informatics and Telecommunications, aiming to become a Center of Excellence in these areas.
